Marriot Residence Inn/Extended Stay planned for Mother's Beach

The proposed Marriot Residence Inn will replace the parking lot behind Mother's Beach, parcel IR. It will extend onto part of the beach, replacing picnic tables and barbeque grills.

The redevelopment of Mother's Beach is underway from a peaceful, family-friendly, boating and recreation destination to the County's vision as a "hotel/commercial center." (as described by the Coastal Commission in the LCP review).

Most projects are still in the approval process and do not yet have Coastal Development Permits. That means there is STILL time to stop the piecemeal development that benefits private developers, and put in its place a plan based on the Marina's mandated use for public recreation and boating.
