Development Issues
Los Angeles County is pushing a slate of over 16 (sixteen) residential/hotel projects in Marina del Rey. Unfortunately, the County is not using a master plan to effect this development. County is pushing each project through on a piecemeal basis with limited public participation and in an out of order process. Many of these projects are not allowed under Marina del Rey Development Law known as the Local Coastal Program. Most importantly, the cumulative effects of these projects on the community, traffic, the environment, recreation and boating is not being considered.
