Next Week in the Marina: Coastal Commission meeting Wed-Fri
June's Coastal Commission meeting will be held next week, Wed-Fri June 9-11 at the Marina del Rey Hotel at the end of Bali Way (free parking available). Public comment starts at 9am every day and again just before or after lunch.
While there will be no specific Marina item on the agenda, it is a great opportunity to let the Coastal Commissioners know that County continues to push their overdevelopment agenda that will gut public access and recreation, destroy wetlands and add a massive hotel into a quiet residential neighborhood.
Let's show the Coastal Commissioners that Marina residents, boaters, bikers, beach goers, picknickers and recreational enthusiasts are vehemently opposed to County's plans. Let's tell the Commission they need to do the right thing when these projects come before them. So...
Please join us either Wed, Thur or Friday next week at 8:30am at the Marina del Rey Hotel, 13534 Bali Way (free parking available). We will have signs to hold up and talking points for you to speak to the Commission.
Can't make it to the meetings next week? Perhaps you can help out with a tax-deductible donation of $100-200? To make a donation, please send a check, made payable to IHCenter/We ARE Marina del Rey and mail it to We ARE Marina del Rey, PO BOX 9096, Marina del Rey CA 90295.
